My name is Nneka. As a general rule, I don’t do sleeveless. Why, you may ask? Honestly, I’m not always comfortable baring my arms. Some of you understand my struggle. My preferred option is always sleeves, but if care is not taken, the sleeved options can look old and matronly. One day a good friend and I were discussing sleeved dress options for a wedding, and I expressed this concern. She told me, “But you are the queen of dresses with sleeves, and they don’t make you look matronly.” And that’s how the name and concept of this blog was born! I am on a constant search to find items, particularly dresses, with sleeves that look youthful and fashionable. It can sometimes be difficult, but with the right styling, it can be done! I decided to start this blog to inspire myself and those around me to be confident, chic, and fashionable with sleeves! Welcome to my blog!! Thanks for stopping by…stay awhile!

  1. Love this Nneka! I don’t like sleeves bc I have stretch marks on my arms. It was very difficult to find a wedding dress with sleeves at s bridal store so I’m getting it custom made.

    1. Thanks, Jessica!! I knew I was not alone in my quest for sleeves! I can’t wait to see your wedding dress…I have no doubt it will be beautiful! I’ll probably have to go the custom route too whenever I get married. 🙂

  4. Hello Nneka! I was searching and searching for the beautiful collar worn by Omerosa on Say Yes to The Dress and found you! Thanks for the correct name of this collar and i want to order it right away. I am not a sleeveless person either. I also thought that Omerosa looked cute with this collar. I also can’t find a picture wearing it. I did manage to locate the episode (Season 15, Episode 5), but i don’t want to pay for it. Since i found the collar, i will just order it. Thanks.

    1. Thank you so much, Karen!!! I know what you mean…it was impossible to find a picture of what Omorosa wore on Say Yes! I’m glad I could help you find what you were looking for!

    1. Thanks, Tasha!! I’m about 5’6″. It’s a great dress and a great length, but the inside lining was just a little too short for me!

  8. Your IG ans Blog has been my new Favorite find!!! I am the same way. Sleeves makes any outfit look classy and sophisticated. Thank you for making this blog.

So – I‘ll start with visiting Houston and Texas this weekend with your style in my mind

  13. I love your blog. I found you first on Instagram and a couple of Pinterest post. I understand the issue of baring your arms. I prefer not to bare my arms. But fun question “What do you do with all your dresses 👗

  14. I don’t like sleeveless because it makes me perspire more. Yes, I wear antiperspirant everyday, but still, sleeves keep away the dampness.
