Hi, Peeps! Check me out all blogging on my regular schedule and whatnot! Go me! By the way, for some reason, the email of my last post didn’t send out to some of you. So, in case you missed it, check out the post here.
This week was interesting because I had THREE days off from work due to the MLK holiday then 2 days of dangerous, icy road conditions that kept me home. But did I make the most of those days off?? No, no I did not. I got a lot of rest and watched a bunch of movies/shows I’ve been meaning to watch, so I guess that’s something. Lol. But that’s about it! I’ve been using my Panda Planner (that I mentioned in a previous post) and I had a list of tasks that I intended to accomplish on Sunday/Monday, but have I checked off all of those things yet?? STILL NO. Ugh. Oh well. It will all get done eventually. On to today’s outfit…
A. Isn’t this balloon sleeve sweater fantabulous? I love it because it can be worn on or off the shoulder. It comes in 7 colors and it’s on sale for only about $30 right now! I linked all of the colors below.
B. Do any of you have wide calves, like me?? Well, if you do, then you know that it can be difficult to find boots that fit. Sometimes when you find boots for wide calves, they are also wide width for folks with wide feet….what if I just want wide calf boots with regular width?!! Well, they exist. I should note that the boots I’m wearing in this post are wide width, which I didn’t realize when I bought them. They’re a little roomy, but that works out ok with thick socks. Also, the top part that’s on the thigh is a little bit wide. It fits fine when wearing jeans, but, if wearing a dress, over the knee socks may be necessary to help keep the boots up.
Anyway, for those of you that are part of the wide calf struggle, I’ve rounded up some cute wide calf/extended calf boots for you (they’re actually all from DSW, but DSW is not the only place you can find wide calf boots. I’ve gotten a couple of pairs from Macy’s in the past and seen options at other retailers as well)!
What are your thoughts? This weekend, I’m going to enjoy a staycation at the Royal Sonesta in Houston. Stay tuned because I will be blogging about my experience there.
