Hellooooooooooooo!! Happy Thursday!!!  I  know you’ve been asking yourself, “what’s going on with the Queen of Sleeves?  Where is a new post??  She teased an outfit on Instagram (here and here), and we haven’t seen anything on the blog yet!  But why???”  Well, first of all, thank you for your concern.   My bad.  I’m a little bit behind on blogging, so I’m only posting once this week.  I need to shoot some new outfits, but I’ve been busy because LIFE.  Also, this weekend I’m going out of town.  Yay! I’m headed to Minneapolis!  I’m going to visit a sweet friend who recently had a baby.  She’s actually the friend that I mention in the about page whose casual comment birthed the name and concept of this blog!  Anyway,  I’ve never been to Minneapolis (or anywhere in Minnesota), so I’m excited for my first visit though a little bit concerned about how cold it’s going to be!!  Since winter just skipped over Houston, I’m not sure that I’m prepared for a real winter somewhere.  I posted a pic on Instagram the other day (here) lamenting that I hadn’t really had the opportunity to wear my beautiful, plaid winter coat forgetting that I was about to go to someplace where winter is alive and well.  I guess I’ll have use for that winter coat after all!  I’ll be sure to keep you updated about my trip on Instagram, so make sure to follow me on there if you don’t already!!  Have any of you been to Minneapolis?  Is there anything that I MUST SEE, other than the Mall of America and Paisley Park?

Now let’s talk about this outfit!  I called this post “Doing the Most” because it may not occur to most people to put all this together…it barely occurred to me!  A leopard skirt AND leopard shoes, a striped top, a statement necklace, and a denim jacket….where they do that at??  Well, here…that’s where.  I’ve talked about mixing prints before (here), so this isn’t a new concept or anything.  But sometimes you wonder, how far can I go with this mixing print thing?  Well, the answer is…as far as you want (within reason)!!!  DO THE MOST!  I think the key is all in the styling and print.  Keep it sophisticated, and you can’t go wrong!

I would just like to note that I’m doing my best to find the necklace from my last post, but I haven’t had any luck yet. 🙁 I bought it last year.  Fingers crossed that I might still be able to find it…there are some stones that I have left unturned.  Might I interest you all in another statement necklace perhaps?? What about the one from this Instagram post (by the way, as mentioned in that Instagram post, feel free to check out Every Scent Candle Co. and use my coupon code QUEEN15OFF for 15% off your entire order until March 31st )??  It’s bold with the pretty color combo of gold and mint green!
