Happy Tuesday, Friends!! Today we have another edition of my Instagram roundup so that I can tell you a little bit more about some of the things you may have seen on Instagram or Facebook, but that haven’t made it to the blog, including outfit details!! Make sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram and SUBSCRIBE to the blog so you don’t miss any posts! Keep reading to get all the details!
So, this first look was just this past Saturday. I had such an eventful day! First, I attended a brunch to celebrate my sis-in-law’s major accomplishment of graduating from Baylor (my alma mater) with her MBA!! It’s pretty exciting…she’s doing big things, and we are all so proud! She’s also very talented…look out for me wearing some of her designs on the blog soon! 😉 Anyhoo, we had brunch at Grace’s on Kirby…if you are in Houston and you haven’t been there, make sure to check them out! Their brunch is delicious! I had the chicken and waffles and their amazing frozen mimosas (yes, plural…b/c I’m about that life! Lol). Nom Nom! I took this pic outside of Grace’s…I had fun twirling around in this beautiful dress! After the brunch, I went to a private event at MODChic Couture, an awesome boutique in Rice Village that I hope to collaborate with in the future, where I had the opportunity to meet Claire Sulmers of Fashion Bomb Daily, one of the most popular and influential blogs in the world!!! She is so beautiful, sweet, funny, and down to earth. She had a lot of great advice. I can’t wait to read her book that she signed for me! Yesterday, I was selected on her blog as the Fashion Bombshell of the Day!!!!!! I’m so super pumped about it!! I’ve been familiar with her blog for YEARS, so it’s such an honor to get featured! Please head over to her site (here) and Insta and vote for me if you haven’t already!!

This pic was taken at Gloria’s restaurant downtown. It’s near where I work, so it’s a good spot for lunch…they have delicious Latin food and yummy margaritas! I was feeling fabulous that day! Probably any day I take the trouble to wear my hair down is a day I’m feeling fab. I felt like a lady who lunches, so I had to take a pic! Lol.

Lol @this pic. I think I look borderline cray cray, but I posted it anyway! I was goofing off outside of Luigi’s, a yummy Italian restaurant. Although I didn’t particularly love my food that night (the time I had been there before, it was delicious…dunno what happened this time), I loved the reason I was there!! I was there to celebrate an awesome friend’s engagement!! It was a surprise engagement dinner…her parents were there from Dallas and everything. She was truly surprised. It was such a great night!!

I have mentioned in a previous post that I recently joined Houston Tidbits Front Row, which is a membership that includes “frequent VIP perks, no-strings-attached gifts and oodles of private event invitations.” I’ve been going to a lot of events, one to two a week!! This look was at an event at Kendra Scott, a polish party!!! I didn’t end up getting my nails painted, but I did walk away with a bottle of Kendra Scott nail polish and dreams about going back to get some of that beautiful jewelry! I had my eye on a particular necklace (here) that I intend to go back and purchase during my birthday month when I can get 50% off! I don’t know why this post is ending up talking about food a lot, but they had food from Eddie V’s at this event and the truffle mac and cheese was scrumptious! I wanted to eat all of it, but I decided to respect myself and only get about 4 or 5 servings. Lol. I even raved about it on my Insta stories. Speaking of…I’ve been trying to do more Insta stories on Instagram, especially when I attend these events, so make sure you are following along!
Dress: Asos (you’ve also seen it in this post!) // Shoes: Similar // Bag: Similar, Similar // Necklace: Similar, Similar
Ugh…don’t you just love this dress?? Y’all know I love mustard yellow and Asos wiggle dresses, so this dress is just perfect for me! I got compliments all night on this dress. This pic is from my very first Tidbits event, an event with Harper’s Bazaar magazine and Estee Lauder at Saks Fifth Avenue. I’ve been loving all of these events…so far, they have ALL had booze and light bites. Love!! This event had light bites from 51fifteen restaurant in Saks (I believe)…so good! They also had wine…as you can see. 😛
Top: Gibson // Jeans: Old Navy // Necklace: Old – Wish I could find something similar for you!! I’m still looking.
This look was at dinner in Minneapolis. This top was my one purchase at the Mall of America, and it’s also on my Spring Wishlist!

This look was what I planned to wear for Easter, but I ended up changing my mind. You are likely to see this dress in a future blog post, but probably with different accessories! I actually did a whole shoot in this look, but I didn’t like how the pics turned out. The day I shot was super windy and the dress wasn’t so flattering on me. I am working on ways to make it look more flattering. I’ll be sure to do a side by side, so you all will see how adding the right accessories can make a difference on how flattering something looks!

This was a couple of months ago. I remember this Sunday because it was a lovely day. I went to church, and then I got brunch with my cousin at Brick House Tavern + Tap in Sugarland. The food was really good (since I’m on this food kick)!! You know how I talk about an outfit just coming together? This was one of those times. I wasn’t sure what to wear, so I just grabbed a couple of pieces and the rest came together. This shirt is perfect for tying over a skirt…it’s light and dainty. I love this black tulle skirt. I got it from Charlotte Russe around Christmas time. It’s perfect with a top or throwing it over a dress to give the dress a different look (like I wore it here).

Lol. I’m sorry…I’m over here cracking myself up b/c I did not intend for this post to talk about food so much. I must be hungry. This pic was taken at Saltgrass Steakhouse…my favorite place to go to lunch with my family after church!! I love everything about that place – the BREAD and butter, caesar salad, and the steaks!! My niece, the expert photographer from theses posts (here, here, here), took this pic. Do you notice that glow around the top?? Maybe it’s because it’s such an amazing top that it has its own halo or maybe I’m just angelic.
Now you’re all caught up! What did you think of this post? Was it a lot to read? Next time, I’ll try not to wait so long to post one of these, so that it can be shorter. Have an awesome week, and thanks so much for reading!!!
