Hi, Friends!! So…y’all know how much I love prints…all prints. But I particularly love classic prints like stripes or, in this instance, polka dots!! If you want to try mixing prints, using a classic print is a great place to start. You may have noticed that often when I mix prints, a classic print is one of the prints I use (leopard, stripes, etc.). Combining the same print is another fun way to go! For example, if I had striped pants and a striped top, that would be a bomb outfit. I don’t think it would really matter the size of the stripes on top or bottom or the color of either, it would just pair well together. Here are a couple of examples with gingham and stripes, but I should note the shopping links in those two posts have not been updated. I will probably repost these looks on Instagram soon, so you can get current shopping details, if you’re interested!
I recently picked up this top from NY & Company (unfortunately, this color/print is practically sold out, but it’s available in other colors) and I wasn’t sure what to wear it with, until I saw this polka dot skirt in my closet. The combination is so cute!! And if I had polka dot heels or a polka dot bag, I probably would have added it to this look too! Lol. What do you think of this type of print mixing?
Have a great weekend, and thanks so much for reading!
