Sherbet or is it Sherbert?

Tee: Old Navy // Skirt: NY & Company // Cardigan: Similar, Similar // Bag: Target // Shoes: Similar, Similar

Hi, Friends!!  This post today will answer the age old question….sherbet or is it sherbert?

Turns out the correct title for this post would be Sherbet, but since the word is often pronounced Sherbert, apparently that spelling is also correct.  Fun fact!!  Anyway, this look for sure reminds me of sherbet.  It’s so colorful and fun!! Am I the only one who enjoys the delicious beverage that is sherbet mixed with ginger ale?!!  Our family enjoys it every Thanksgiving and it’s glorious.  Anyhoo, I digress.

Originally my plan was to pair this fun NY & Company skirt with all yellow…a yellow shirt, yellow shoes, etc.  I was going for a monochromatic look, but…it looked kinda cray, not gonna lie. Lol.  Perhaps it was the shirt I chose.  I still think it could work in theory.  But anyway, I had to pivot and readjust my plan, so I decided to go with a white tee instead.  I headed over to Old Navy and bought this tee.  I’ve been on the search for the perfect tee, and this is pretty close.  I love the shape of it.  Because the hem is rounded, it ties in the front with ease.  After I paired the tee with the skirt, the look still felt incomplete to me. It still needed something else, so I thought a cardigan would be a fun addition.  I saw this coral one in my closet, and I knew it would be perfect…and it was. 🙂

My original plan was to accessorize this look with the lemon clutch from my Lemonade post, which would have also been fun.  But the other night I was reading my Instyle magazine and in it was a page about the happy pairing of the colors gold, coral, and lilac! The magazine said those colors together are like a fruity drink with a silly umbrella.  As a fan of fruity drinks with silly umbrellas in them, I knew I needed to add lilac to my look.  I found the cutest little round bag from Target, and it completed this look.  What do you think??  Would you wear all these colors paired together?

Have a great weekend, and thanks so much for reading!!
