Dress: Target // Shoes: Similar, Similar // Bag: Similar, Similar // Sunglasses: Similar
Hi, Friends!!! As I mentioned in my last post, this is sort of a hybrid between an outfit minisode in our Sleeves and the City miniseries and a continuation of my NYFW recaps. I did not wear this red hot dress to any events in NYC, but isn’t it amazing? And it’s from Target! The color is stunning and the puff sleeves are a gorgeous twist. They make the look so glamorous (and the beautiful backdrop at the Nomo Soho hotel doesn’t hurt either). Ok, so…back to the recap!
After the Chromat runway show, Chantal and I headed to the Lulu’s Style Studio party to meet up with our other friends. When we got there, we were in awe. It was beautifully decorated, and there were quite a few people there. It was hard to decide what to do first. At the bar, they were serving champagne and froze.
We saw a lot of our Houston blogger friends, but there were also quite a few big-time bloggers from around the country as well. So, we wanted to socialize, but we found out that they had a pop up boutique in there where we could pick any clothing item we wanted and an accessory FOR FREE! Isn’t that amazing?! It was so cute!
It was such a beautiful party. I felt honored to have been invited. Unfortunately, I didn’t take many pics, so I borrowed the party pics from the Lulu’s blog: HERE. If you are curious about what I picked out from the boutique, you can check out the pic of me wearing the dress HERE and, if you like the dress, you can get one of your own HERE. There were also some other cool things at the party, like a NYX makeup bar (I didn’t even walk over to that side of the room for whatever reason, so I don’t know what was going on there), a DJ, light bites, and a bunch of white roses that we could take with us. After a certain point, I was mostly just chatting with my Houston friends. I wish I had spent more time meeting and chatting with other bloggers. We did, however, meet this Victoria’s Secret model. She was very nice.
After the Lulu’s party, a small group of us went to get some pizza before heading back to our hotels. I was exhausted by the time I made it back to the hotel!! It had been such a long day. After all, it took me 3 posts just to tell you about everything that happened in that one day! So, my next post will begin the recap of Day 2. There was a lot going on that day too, but it shouldn’t take 3 posts…probably more like 2. 🙂 The Sleeves and the City miniseries should be wrapped up next week. Then, we’ll get ready for fall on the blog!
Enjoy your week, and thanks so much for reading!
