My look – Dress: Amazon // Bag: Similar // Shoes: Similar

Hi, y’all!  How cute is this shoot that I did with my gal pals, Chimee, Bianca, and Chantal?  As you can see, we did a pretty good job with our inspiration from the Sex and the City movie.  It gave me the great idea of my theme for fashion week this year. . . Sleeves and the City!!! My plan is to wear no regular sleeves on this trip (except maybe to sleep)!  Every sleeve has to make some kind of a statement.  Sometimes that statement will be major and sometimes it won’t.  Stay tuned for the looks and for all of my NYFW shenanigans!  Make sure you follow along on Instagram and Facebook because I probably won’t be updating the blog until after I get back.  I plan to do a recap of each day, like I did last year (Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 4 Pt. 2, and Day 5).  This year, the recaps will be “episodes” in my miniseries.  I’m going to try to have some fun with it.  I hope you all will enjoy.  Can’t wait to share with you!!

Here are some of the things on my schedule so far:

Thursday – Travel day.  I don’t get in until late.  Not sure if I’ll be going out on the town when I get in…we’ll see.

Friday – My first show is the Indonesian Diversity SS19 Runway show at 11am.  I’m excited about this one because I missed it last year (Check out what happened HERE).  Then, I may head to the Nolcha Shows Accessories Preview (which is from 12-4), if I have time, then back to the first venue for the Fashion Palette Australian Group SS19 Runway show at 2pm, then the AFFFAIR SS19 Collection Runway show at 5pm.  After that, I’m headed to the Lulu’s Style Studio party from 6-10pm.  Also, at some point, I’ll need to stop by a Rewardstyle event that’s from 10am – 3pm on Monarch Rooftop Bar & Lounge.

Saturday – All day there are Oxford Fashion Studio SS19 Collection Group Runway Shows.  Then in the evening, I’m headed to the Liketoknow.it party on the rooftop of the Bowery Hotel from 6-9pm. I’m so excited about this one because it’s an exclusive, invite-only event.

Sunday – I might go to a show in the morning, then I have parties all day!! First, the Essence Street Style party, then the Adidas Do Over party (I went to the Adidas party last year and it was so fun! Check out my post about it HERE).

Monday – I head back home!

I may actually try to go to no more than 2 shows a day, so that I can have some time to enjoy the city and hopefully get some cool content for the blog while I’m there!  Stay tuned to Instagram and Facebook for the play by play.

Btw, if you haven’t already, make sure you vote for me for Houston It Girl of Instagram and come to the party next week on September 13!  At the event, I’ll be discussing fall fashion with a panel of the other It Girls and there will be a runway show!! I went to Neiman Marcus on Tuesday to pick some styles for the event.  It will be fun.  Hope to see you!
