Hi friends! It’s my birthday!!! Woop woop!  This was one of my favorite outfits to shoot…I really tried to find my wind, like Tyra advises, to show off this circle skirt.  I did my best. haha.  Anyhoo, I love this look.  It’s designed by me! I found the fabric at a store here locally in Houston, brought it and my design to my tailor, and he made it!  It turned out well, and it has pockets!

Today I celebrate turning 35…yes, 3-5.  I know I look 25. 😉 I am grateful to God for another year.  Every birthday, somewhat like a new year, offers an opportunity to reflect on the previous year and consider making changes for improvement for the upcoming year.  Lately, instead of resolutions, I’ve been creating a bucket list…a list of things I want to accomplish each year by a certain date.  It often consists of places I want to visit or things I’ve been meaning to do…they don’t have to be big things.  For example, some things on my list include: getting my diplomas framed and my car windows tinted, taking a sewing class, and starting this blog! The blog is a major thing I’m so excited to be able to check as completed off my list.  Thank God! Write the vision and make it plain!

Every year, I usually have a big party to celebrate my birthday. I have a brother, and my parents used to ask us when we were younger to choose between cash money or a party…I always chose the party (and my brother always chose the money…lol. true igbo man).  This year, I’ve decided to keep it low key, so no party for me 🙁 .  I just came back from a trip to the Dominican Republic (another thing checked off the bucket list), and I’ve been so busy getting this blog ready to launch.  Those of you out there that want to get me a birthday present since I’m not having a party, please SUBSCRIBE to my blog (Find subscribe here or on the sidebar and enter your email address!  You can also subscribe after commenting below) and share with your friends on social media and get them to subscribe too!!  Thank you so much for reading!!
