Cue Rebecca Black…it’s Friday, FRIDAY! Gotta get down on Friday! Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, WEEKEND!  If you aren’t familiar with the Friday song, what were you doing with your life in 2011??  Anyway, we made it through the first work week of 2017.  Congrats to us!  Did any of you make any resolutions?  Have you been keeping them??

It’s finally getting cold again in Houston.  Time to break out the jackets, sweaters, scarves, and boots!!!  Remember when I said in my Holiday Gift Guide post that a blanket scarf is always a good idea??  Well, if you don’t remember…I said it (check the receipts) and it’s true!  In case you aren’t familiar, blanket scarves are giant scarves that can be worn in a variety of ways, including as a blanket (hence the name, apparently).  They are also large enough to be worn as ponchos and can be styled like how I styled the poncho in this post.  For this look, I wore the blanket scarf as a scarf (clearly) and paired it with boyfriend jeans, ankle boots, and other pieces that complemented the colors in the scarf.  It’s a casual look, but it looks put-together.  Have a great weekend, and thanks so much for reading!!
