I was first introduced to Joy while I was in New York for fashion week. She was in New York to showcase her designs on the runway. She also created Nuciano Scholars, a program that helps educate young girls in Nigeria. Joy believes that when you raise a girl, you raise an entire community. Isn’t that so powerful? And it’s true. As such, 5% of all Nuciano proceeds goes to furthering educational opportunities for girls from poor homes in Nigeria who want to go to college. Joy wants to inspire and empower girls to get an education so that they can achieve their dreams, like she has.
